Securing our CAURD license through New York’s rigorous social equity licensing process made all of this possible—transforming a small family owned and operated business into a compliant, community‑focused retail experience. The legal cannabis market in New York generated over $80 million in tax, fee, and fine revenue in fiscal year 2023–2024, and another $67 million by mid‑2024–25 as sales surpassed $1 billion statewide (governor.ny.gov). That tax revenue helps fund education, community reinvestment, and substance use programs—making our communities stronger and more vibrant.
